Our Teachers
Our Teachers
Meet the wonderful educators who guide our children every day.
Elena Lengardt
Co-founder of Taiga School
Works with children in nature — exploring, observing, and finding answers together. It is important to Elena that children have space for movement, independence, and their own discoveries.
She has a background in psychology and previously worked at PwC. Her own experience with motherhood became a reason to reconsider approaches to education and dive deeper into early childhood development. She is currently studying Early Childhood Education at City College of San Francisco. In her free time she does art projects.
Daria Artcykhovich
Co-founder of Taiga School
Daria loves children and nature. Experience of working in co-op preschool in San Francisco was so profound that gave her an idea to open her own school. In her free time she reads, runs, talks to people and volunteers for Postpartum Support International. She is raising her daughter Sonia, who is 7.
Formerly a software engineer, worked at mail.ru and Google.
Nikita Yakubovich
Professional biologist, PhD in Molecular Genetics
Nikita helps to shape our academic program, teaching children truly know and love nature. He leads classes in Taiga.
He knows everything about the "secret life" of plants and talks about it with great passion. During his classes, children are introduced to amazing (and yet strictly scientific!) stories about how seemingly powerless plants affect people's lives — from traveling across oceans to shaping economies, culture and religion.
